CityKids arts and leadership programming has been at the forefront of positive youth development and social emotional learning for three decades. Our programs include:
Coalition a weekly interactive dialogue where young people learn to think critically, listen to their peers, articulate their ideas and ideals respectfully, and transform their thoughts into action.
And The CityKids Repertory Company (Rep) an intensive audition based performance program that combines training in performing arts disciplines with a unique leadership development model.
As young people lift their voices, promoting the principles of Safe Space, Youth-to-Youth Communication, Multi-Cultural Bridge Building, and Leadership Development, we make sure their voices are heard loudly and clearly through various mediums. These media projects, events, and awareness campaigns around issues affecting youth, are often in collaboration withand likeminded organizations, nationally acclaimed artists, and established media entities, that are excited to support the voice of young people who are making a positive impact.
We call these special events CityKids Speak. CityKids Speak Projects are local, national and globally scaled – developed in-house with the goal of reaching a wide audience
