A Brooklyn Boy to open in The East Village Playhouse, The new home of The CityKids Foundation

A Brooklyn Boy is a one man show co-written and performed by Steven Prescod and co-written and directed by Moises Belizario.

The show is a spoken word performance that portrays Steven’s coming of age in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

In the show, he plays 25 different characters. Through The CityKids Foundation, an excerpt of the show was performed for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge which led to a production at the National Black Theatre and a tour of school performances.

​The show starts on Friday the 26th of January at 7pm and there will be performances on Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm and there will be two performances on Saturdays at 2pm and at 7pm.
